God's Vagina Zine

Women and weed have always been intimately connected while also suffering from a complicated relationship. God’s Vagina works to explore this connection and give voice to the experience of various women that indulge in the herb and what it means to them. The zine includes 11 candid interviews with female subjects who discuss their gendered experience participating in dude-based weed culture and how identity politics in general inform getting high.

God’s Vagina recovers weed from its association to trashy head shops stocked with dick pipes, bikini clad High Times models and stoner comedies that don’t pass the Bechdel test, to place it firmly in the land of women. When these women speak of smoking we all get a little higher.
